""Art Glass Beads for Your Beady Needs!"

Jacqui Collins - Parker

We regret to tell you that the owner of this site, Jacqui Collins-Parker passed away suddenly Saturday, May 30, 2009.

Jacqui was a gifted and talented woman who gave generously of herself.

She was a licensed LPN for many years, then became a self-taught lampwork bead artisan. Her beads were offered on eBay and here on her website. They are also in collections or jewelry designs around the world; including the United Kingdom, Africa, New Zealand , and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Ornamental, sculptural beads have been accepted by the White House for the Christmas Tree three years in a row during the Clinton administration. They have been in juried shows, and have been sold in the Bead and Button magazine Auctions for Breast Cancer.

She donated annually to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation with gifts of her beads and jewelry.

Jacqui participated in the HOPE Bracelet Project by donating beads and jewelry making supplies. The project helps women of Yetabon, Ethiopia to work towards self-sufficiency. Beadmakers and suppliers from all over the world have donated all of the materials necessary for the women to create one of a kind bracelets. When auctioned at Trice Jewelers' in Denver, CO, all of the money generated was donated to the school in Yetabon.

Jacqui also shared her lampwork gift by teaching others how to make beads.

She also made fabric collectors' art dolls that are now privately owned in collections all over the world.

Jacqui became interested in assisting young women as their families grew by becoming a trained Doula. She aided five new souls to come into the world by helping their mothers have a natural and healthy delivery.

Jacqui was a self-taught web designer, writing and maintaining two websites in addition to her auctions; one for her artisan lampwork and one for her Doula clients.

One of Jacqui's loves was gardening. From her home garden, she gave fruits and vegetables to neighbors, family and friends.

After having bariatric bypass surgery, Jacqui was an Angel Mentor to others who struggled with weight issues, counseling and encouraging them.

This beautiful soul and a gifted, talented, generous woman who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

If you need to contact the family, please email her sister.

Many blessings
